drag drop from desktop to vm is flaky

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't....

is there a fix?

Uninstall and reinstall VMware Tools and check.

I tell you what would be useful - a place where I can specify a signature that contains my setup, because i'm tired of having to repeat that information every time I post a question - I looked to see if it could be done, but found nothing...

latest VM Ware Fusion

various vms of XP, Vista, 32 and 64bit...

fyi: my particular config has nothing to do with it - my colleagues have different configs and all complain that drag drop doesn't always work - especially when it comes to dropping stuff into a Vista vm...
