Virtual Converter

I moved several VM's from one environment (San space and ESX servers) to another San and ESX server using Vmware converter. During the conversion process I removed the NIC's. Once the conversion completed, I readded the NIC. I logged into the server and noticed that an IP address/DNS address/ DNS suffix has been added without me adding them. Also, these address are not the original addresses that the machine had.

Where did the VM pick up this address. We aren't using DHCP on this network.

Help, this happens on all servers that I have converted.

Thanks,

Tim

Converter does allow for guest o/s customization - I take you did not reset the IP address during this process because even with removing the vNIC card your will still have the networking possibly reocnfigured in the o/s
