Well, I think I am blind: in your original first post you told that "you told not to autoadjust" - that's the mistake probably! check the autoadjust option (right click on time in systray > adjust date/time > time zone tab > check "automatically adjust ..."

You need to configure the correct time zone in Windows. In XP, right click the time in system tray, and you should be on your way to change the time zone

Btw. seems like you are from central Europe just like me, I had the same one-hour lag until recently when I set the timezone myself Smiley Happy

Also check your patch level. There was a change in Daylight savings time, and if you don't have that patch installed, your image won't be in sync with everyone else! I forget which MS update pushed the patch out, but I know we encountered that exact issue here at work.

i have set the correct time zone, so it isnt that.

something keeps reverting it to the wrong time... may have to check the Windows patch the other poster mentioned.

ive checked out the patches -- i have the latest XP daylight savings time patch installed.

yet...something is constantly reverting my clock back an hour (ive set it to Central timezone, its still in Central timezone. but the idea is back an hour).

Well let's just try this (although pure logic says this should not help to solve this): in the Windows VM: right click on system tray VMware Tools icon > Open VMware Tools > Options > check Time synchronization ... and click OK

that appears to be it! by not having the auto-adjust for DLST enabled in WinXP, it was actively resetting it back an hour.

dunno why i had it set that way, but that seems to have fixed it. groovy!

thanks!
