We're an ARCserve 11.5 shop when it comes to backup and while I've been able to get the Agent for Linux functional on our ESX Servers, the restore performance using the agent has been horrible. Now that ARCserve r12 is available, I'm wondering if anyone can comment if they're seeing better results if the new Backup Agent for VMware is used in lieu of the Agent for Linux. We're in the process of purchasing a SAN, so I can't employ VCB in conjunction with the existing ARCserve infrastructure yet. Thank you in advance for your response.
