How to enter the BIOS of a VM?

I am powering on a VM, clicking in the console and then repeatedly trying F2 or Esc, but no luck getting to the BIOS. The OS loads each time.

Are there any other keystrokes for this?

Regards

Or, click in the VM's window to give it focus, and hit Ctrl-Alt-Insert to reboot the guest...

Or Ctrl-R to reset it. Easier to hit 2 keys than 3 Smiley Wink

Same problem here. I finally used a console session connecting directly to the ESX host AND removed the VM's disks AND set it to only use 100 MHz of CPU and finally, I could get to the bios. Finally!

Hi Randy, if you happen to be using ESX 3.5 you can edit the settings for th VM, select Options\Boot Options and then either force the VM to go to the BIOS setup or enable a BIOS screen delay.

Oh that was easy! I hadn't seen these new options yet. Thanks Dave!
