Vendors w/ skus for 3i servers

Anyone had any luck getting quotes or pricing on a real part number for a 2, 3, or 4 letter server vendor with 3i embedded installed?

I went on an extreme run around with Dell and VMware on this one. VMware shows that the 2950-III is certified for use with 3i embedded. Yet Dell has absolutely no knowledge of it and their site is just as bad. After going back and forth with them for about a week, the only thing I could get out of them was they will have a future offering (May'ish), but would not tell me any more without me signing an NDA. Since I needed a server ASAP, I went ahead and ordered the 2950-III and just bought ESX Foundation.

That's been my experience with the 4-letter one as well. Press releases are all fine and good, but that doesn't help those in need of systems.

I rattled some cages but never heard a peep in follow-up. Guess there's no such animal.

There is such an animal from Dell, but to hear anything about it besides its upcoming future existence, you do need to sign an NDA.
