iSCSI - Two Physically Separated Networks

I am working with 6 ESX Hosts that are back-ended with an iSCSI SAN using a separate pSwitch than that of the production network for isolation of network traffic. For purposes of illustrating my issue I will call my production network connection pSwitch0 w/network address of 10.11.10/23 and my SAN network pSwitch1 w/network 10.11.12/24. When I configure the Service Console on the vSwitch1 connected to pSwitch1 for the iSCSI network it is wanting to use the gateway of the vSwitch0 that is connect to pSwitch0. Is this by design or is there a way to change that behavior?

You can't use a different gateway (see above) and since you probably don't need routing in your storage network the "wrong" gateway doesn't matter.

This is "by design" (a system can only have one default gateway)

Is there any impact as a result of having a different gateway?
