ESX & Virtual Center Daily Checks

Hi,

Are there any papers or guides on what daily checks you should do with ESX 3 and virtual center/vm's.

I know checking disk space (/var), performance, memory usuage, etc is a good start but was after something more concise in case I miss something.

Are there any tools out there that help with this?

There isn't one tool, but there is one called ESX Healthcheck Script

Also there is That will monitor overall system performance.

thanks for the help. I've downloaded and amended the scripts as needed but when running health_check.sh I get the following error:

: integaer expression expected[: 1

I don't know anything about perl but by using echo commands I've pin pointed the error to come from this line:

if [ "$" -eq 1 ]; then

$ -t $ -s "$" -f $ -m "$: $" -r $ -a $

fi

any help would be appreciated.

now got it sorted, does a lot more than I was after but just editing the bits out
