We want to do some testing of our network to better understand how the packets flow with different setups. We will be using different physical topologies and different vSwitch configurations during these tests. Is there a recomended application that can be install either directly to the ESX 3.0.2 servers? Or am I better off installing something on VMs that reside on the different hosts? Any advice would be great. Especially if you have done this before. Thanks in advance!
