MPS found but host is using PIC - BIOS bug, no explicit IRQ entries, using default mptable. (tell your hw vendor)

Hello everybody,

I get this error when i start my test esx server 3.0.2; Are there someway to disable APIC and only use MPS or is that a bad ide?

TSC: 379935342 cpu0:0)Chipset: 665: Make sure that if 'noapic' is used, it is on purpose

Is this a HP box and have you check the settings in the bios?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply; got to mention what motherboard i used. The dmesg didn’t clearly mention what kind of motherboard it was using but it's a Intel®Desktop Board - DG33TL - Intel® G33 chipset.

I have checked the BIOS sfor MPS or APIC settings but can't fan anything what sow ever regarding settings of MPS or APIC.
