Fusion Interface Feature Request - Add "Add to Library" command on File menu.

Lets face it not everyone reads the documentation completely or at all in some cases as evident by some of the questions asked. Smiley Happy

While I know this is covered in the Help File...

VMware Fusion > Help > VMware Fusion Help > Using the VMware Fusion Interface > Using the Virtual Machine Library Window > To add a virtual machine to the Virtual Machine Library window

Hey Drag & Drop is great and easy to do however I have always found, in general, most Users are Menu Driven, if you will, and don't always know or remember the nuances that the OS and Software have to offer. (Remember because they don't read the documentation.) Smiley Happy

How hard would it be to add the command "Add to Library", or something to that effect, to the VMware Fusion > File menu and maybe, if it not to messy looking, a button on the Virtual Machine Library window to reflect same.

Anyway just a thought and please don't let this keep you from modifying the Fusion Interface to be able to add an existing disk to a VM after the fact as that feature is more important than this one. Smiley Happy

Thanks

How about a simple "Mac-style" + and - buttons for the Library window? If we're going to add a VM to a library, why cant we take one off that perhaps someone would want to archive? Like my old Win98 image that I hardly use.

Agreed that this is just a simple usability request and would much rather have more features... like auto start in full screen mode and auto close on shutdown. Smiley Happy

Personally I prefer a straight-up File menu item (which itself supports drag and drop) or drag and drop into a window or onto the VMware icon. The NeXTism of +/- I'm not so much a fan of.
