What is the resource overhead of using Resource pools, HA, DRS etc
We're currently planning a small virtual datatcenter. I'm interested to know of potential resource cost of doing business with VM clustering, Resource Pools, HA DRS etc. Any information on this would be great thanks.
There is some information there but its sketchy... hence the question. What happens when you pool resources? what's the hit on performence? what do the other features cost your system to use?

Very nice tool to compare the costs of continuing down the path of physical vs the cost of virtualizing. The numbers are very "tweakable" so you can really tune ROI study to match your actual environment.
