Unable to create a bridge on a VLAN interface

    eot Novice

Installing on CentOS 4.5 64bit.  Kernel version is 2.6.23.1.  When bridging a non-vlan interface vmware has no problems bringing the bridge up:

      /dev/vmnet: open called by PID 5245 (vmnet-bridge)

/dev/vmnet: hub 0 does not exist, allocating memory.

/dev/vmnet: port on hub 0 successfully opened

      bridge-br0: enabling the bridge

      bridge-br0: up

      bridge-br0: already up

      bridge-br0: attached

But when building a vmware bridge ontop of a vlan interface I get the following error:

      /dev/vmnet: open called by PID 5252 (vmnet-bridge)

/dev/vmnet: hub 2 does not exist, allocating memory.

/dev/vmnet: port on hub 2 successfully opened

      bridge-br0.10: enabling the bridge

      bridge-br0.10: can't bridge with br0.10, bad header length 18

bridge-br0.10: interface br0.10 is not a valid Ethernet interface

      bridge-br0.10: can't bridge with br0.10, bad header length 18

I have no problem with this in vmware 1.0.4.  What other information is needed?

      Thank you!

      Regards,
