Virtual Center Database Size

Hello Virtual Comunity,

I am looking for a document o suggestions about the Virtual Center Database Sizing, the idea its supports 6 moth of data of 10 ESX Servers ....

What are the common configuration, do they set a max Size of the database and the T.logs?

You'll find a sizing calculater here: http://www.vmware.com/support/vi3/doc/vc_db_calculator.xls. It will give you the potential db size in GB, but this is for the data only. You'll want to size the transaction log to be about 25% of overall DB size and you should decide also on the recovery mode for the database. If you're happy with a daily full backup, then you should set the recovery model to simple and you won't have to worry about transaction log backups. If you want to back up the database frequently during the day, then you should schedule transaction log backups in addition to a regular full database backup and also set the recovery mode of the DB to full.
