How Do You Plan On Implementing Fusion With Leopard?

By this I mean -- which of the 4 kinds of installation will you use (Basic, Upgrade, Clean and or Erase & Install) when you upgrade to Leopard and why. Me -- I take this as a time for house cleaning and will most likely just do an Erase & Install. All my files and actually Tiger are cloned to my back-up drive using Super Duper, so I can add what I really only want. This happens to include getting rid of Parallels and adding only Fusion.

So what about you - how will you do this?

I'm waiting for announcement and/or beta refresh from VMware that Fusion runs on Leopard GA. I'm backing up my internal drive using SuperDuper, then I'm upgrading OS X 10.4.10 (or .11 if it's out by then) to Leopard and upgrading Fusion.

Good point about holding out until the refresh. I have a real good friend who just purchased a new iMac 24" and I have suggested he not install the beta update until VMware goes to its next update or confirms that the current beta will work with Leopard.

I did suggest with Leopard that he do the upgrade because of how new his system is. Since my iMac 20" is a Core Duo that I updated from my G5 before selling it, I felt it was time to just start with a clean slate. However, I have read quite a few articles that suggest the update path is still a viable option. Hopefully, more readers will chime in and state what they will be doing and why.

Also good point on Tiger .11. This is something I told my friend to do before updating to Leopard. Felt it would only help make the transition that much smoother.
