Is there an official release date for 3.5?

A lot of people are saying December 2007, but I haven't seen anything official.

Jumbo frame support - http://www.vmware.com/products/vi/whatsnew.html

Kimono, do you have any support documentation that states that IOAT will be included but flagged as experimental? Thanks.

I thought I saw it on the what's new page - either I got it confused with Infini Band, or there's something I'm not allowed to tell you.

before everyone gets all giddy about jumbo frames support...make sure your switch can handle jumbo's and flow control at the same time. this is a known issue with some procurve switches and performance actually decreases if both are enabled at the same time.

Hi.

Intel IOAT will be experimentally supported.

Currently I am not sure about Jumbo frames + iSCSI, but Jumbo frames from GOS is there.

I must not be looking at the same documentation about the Intel I/OAT...can you help me find where it states that VMware will be experimentally supporting Intel's I/OAT?

Sorry, this is on the post-VMworld updates on 3.5/3i that we're doing now.

As always things might change before GA date, even dropping features if QA feels it's not ready.

Are you referring to jumbo frames with the iSCSI software initiator?

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't jumbo frames currently supported with a hardware iSCSI initiator?

############### Under no circumstances are you to award me any points. Thanks!!!

Yes, iSCSI plus jumbo frame seems to be no go.
