I'm using Kubuntu 7.04 and I've recently installed vmware-player and managed to install windows xp. I've gathered some files from the net and used that, as my config file also, it's in the end of this post.
I'm having problems on installing the drivers for my network controller, I'm using the nForce4 chipset and every time I'm trying to install it it just quits and it's annoying.
Ideas are welcome on what to try doing, but here is my bootup config file.

the problem is to get the driver to detect the network card, and that ain't easy.
Kind Regards

disable the nforce firewall
how and where ?
I've got no connection to edit on, the drivers won't get installed either.
Installed Windows Vista Home Basic Edition and everything works fine, just need to tweak it a "little"
FWIW I believe that you can disable the firewall from the BIOS setup. I haven't seen one for myself though, it is just what I have heard.
Good luck
