Bridged Network Down Vista(host) - XPPro(Guest)

I am having a serious problem with my bridged network. I have been trying to find my answer by spending the last 2 hours reading other threads.

I'm running a VM with OS XP Pro on a Vista host.

The Guest is used to run a Medical billing program that is not compatible with Vista, and requires the use of internet to send claims to Medicare. So it is very important that I am able to figure out this problem in a timely fashion.

I have tried about everything i know to do. I cannot even ping my router(DSL modem and router in one).

Please if any help can be offered it would be much appreciated.

Question: What kind of VMware product have you installed ?

What exact VMware Product and version are you using?

Post the output from " ipconfig /all " from both the host and guest OS

Post the .vmx file from the virtual machine
