Hi,
I just tried installing Vista and XP with the Fusion wizard. I selected the option to "Split disk into 2GB files". However I noticed that I ended up with just one file for each installation. The Vista file was around 5.5Gb. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen.
I have anoher instance created with the VMware converter and this has lots of files named my_laptop-s001.vmdk, ranging from s001 - s009, some of the files are 2Gb some are as small as 10Mb. Which I take as correct
Is this a known problem?
Regards
Ed

Which file is this? On OS X, we use a "bundle" (fancy name for a folder with a particular extension, in this case vmwarevm) that OS X treats as a single file. If you ctrl-click on it and select Show Package Contents, you can see what's really going on. If you do this, do you see the split disk?
Yep you are actually right. If I show package contents then I can see all the files.
