Adding 2nd Service Console

Hi All,

I am trying to add a 2nd service console on another network card that connects to a different network. We need this for a transition from one network to another, however when I try and add the gateway for this network I get an error.

Error During the Configuration of the host: Unable to update service console default gateway: Exec of command /sbin/iproute replace to default via 10.188.34.1 succedded but returned with non-zero status:2..

It will not accept OK once I get this error, what am I doing wrong? I am fairly sure I had two service consoles on ESX before on two different networks. This is ESX Standard if it matters.

Thanks,

Greg

Only one SC connection can have a default gateway.

Set the gateway of the second SC connection to the gateway of the first.

I am actually having the exact same issue. The problem is that the second service console is on a separate subnet so I cannot set the SC connection to the gateway of the first
