Differences between ESX and Server

I'd like to know what the differences are between ESX and VMWare server on the very low level. Any suggestions? Places to look? Answers?

Check out the product datasheets for starters.

VMware server needs to run under a Windows or Linux host while ESX is its own bare-metal install. ESX can you a SAN, server can't. Many other things available on ESX, vMotion, DRS, HA are the big ones.

Also, the Workstation forum isn't a good place for finding out the differences between ESX and Server...
