Bonjour

I've installed Bonjour for Windows but it's not seeing any of the shared printers on the Mac. I can add them manually using the Add Printer from Windows (http://123.321.123.4:631/printers/laser5m) which is a CUPS definition. All printers are shared in OS X and Windows sharing is enabled as well. Any known issues?

You have to used bridged networking instead of NAT for Bonjour to work and it should work just fine. It works well for me in this case.

Ok - didn't try that because I need NAT to use my Cisco VPN. Is this a bug, by design, or yet to be implemented?

I believe Bonjour only works on your local subnet. NAT means things on the outside (in this case, anything not on your computer) is on a different subnet, so Bonjour won't be able to see it.

I expected the Mac and the VM to be on the net. Their IP's are in the same class C space though I've not looked at netmasks. I'll look into it. Just for grins I tried sharing a file system from the Mac that that at least worked - XP found my Mac in Workgroups and mapped the drive. It's a slightly different process but does demonstrate connectivity, I assume, over the virtual network interfaces.
