Fragged disk

What can be done about this? I have a VM that, upon powering down, nags me with the following, but there does not appear to be any such button, such as exists in Workstation.

\- - - - - - - -

A virtual disk is fragmented affecting the virtual machine's performance.

To improve disk performance, defragement the following virtual disk(s): ide1:1

After you power off the virtual machine, go to Virtual Machine Settings, select the virtual disk and click the Defragment button.

There's currently no GUI way to do this. While the VM is off, you could try running

/Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Fusion/vmware-vdiskmanager -d /path/to/vmdk[/code]

That's helpful. Thank you.

It also turns out that particular VM has a number of Workstation-generated snapshots that Fusion wasn't seeing. I copied to VM, stripped it down &c. with Workstation. It's running much faster.
