VMWare Inf 3 Class Cost

Hope this is an appropriate forum for this question...my apologies ahead of time if not.

I just signed up for a learning account tonight and was informed that it would take 1 - 2 days to verify my account. How much does this class cost? I have already made the business case to my boss but I need to get the procurement folks some numbers to get me enrolled.

Thanks, Chad

Depends on the course, in US currency the install and configure course was around 2995.00 and the deploy, secure, and analyze around 3200.00.

Thanks -- I was guessing about $500/day which is about standard for IT training ( a la IBM, Oracle, etc.).

Appreciate the fast responses.

Tom,

In the US, the standard rate for the VI3 class is $3000/week. Some students get a discount if they work for VMware partners or the company requests an onsite class with up to 12 people in attendance.

Were did you get the $1800 number? BTW, my dollar figures are in US dollars.

Thanks,

Chris

In the US, the standard rate for the VI3 class is $3000/week.

Worth noting that "a week" is 4 days of class. IIRC it is $2995 USD face value, or $750ish per day.

Similarly, the 2 day classes are $1495.

As others said, YMMV in regards to what you might pay through different channels.

As a follow-up, how long does it generally take to get setup with the "elearn" or "mylearn" accounts? They told me that it would take 1-2 business days but it has now been 3 with no word. Phone calls from the education wing were also not returned. Any comments???

sorry my maths was wonky. it is dollar price, I ment to put £3000 UK and then $3000 US, which is £1800 UK after taxes., still a significant saving, by the way are you doing the online courses yet, as I have finally booked mine for June.

Tom,

I"m teaching the online RAIL classes for HP here in the States. It's pretty amazing how HP pulls it off with their virtual training rooms. I never thought I'd be able to teach such a technically challenging class like the VI3 course online...but it actually goes pretty smoothly...and the students love the idea of not having to travel. It even gives me a break from traveling...and still remain billable...all from the comforts of home. Smiley Happy
