Ok...Started the first step of upgrading to VI3 by upgrading to VC 2.0.1 patch 2.
The first thing that I noticed is the inability to Vmotion between by single core and dual core proc boxes. They are the same procs, just not dual core....
Masking was given to me as the only option that "might" work "unsupported" by VMware.....
I am planning to power down the hosts that are single core and swap the processors out with Dual core processors same family and everything....Will this cause any problems on the host....Anything I need to do at the service console e.g. run kudos or anything....
