Converter 3 Fails Yet Resulting NT4 VM Works ok...??

We used the Converter Enterprise Edition to move an NT4 SP6a Machine into ESX 3.0.1 via VC 2.0.1, it took about 2hrs and everything seemed fine..

We tested the Infomix database but users could not logon.. We found the Service had not started so we started it, users still could not logon.. The Admin component of Infomix (Actaully UniData) kept Dr Watsoning..

We reinstalled, but still got Dr Watson Errors from the Admin..

Ok, we decided to redo the Converter but shut down all services relating to the Database... (which i did mean to do first time arround)

When the converter got to to 99% it error'ed with unable to commit disk (may of said drive..?)

We powered on the VM and everything worked fine.. Started the Services and again all worked ok, users could login and Database seemed ok...

Do we call this a success, or try to discover why the Converter Error'ed yet all seems ok...??

Did you check the Converter error log to see what error it generated on the failure? At 99% it was probably attempting the system reconfiguration when it failed.
