USB-Touch device cant communicate "beep" to VM

I have a USB-Touchscreen connecting to a VM run by a Workstation Player. (See other thread for autoconnect issues I had previously.. Make sure Touch-USB connects to VMware at startup )

When connecting the USB-Touch to the VM I get the message:

And the "beep" sound no longer works. When the USB-Touch is connected to the host-PC, the "beep" works - and the sound is communicated to the phono-jack on the host PC.

How do I make the VM also give a "beep"?

I must admit I did not have a clue what the beep was for. Until I looked up the ELO website. So this is for having beeps while the screen is touched; just like on touchscreen mobile phones/tablets can have click sounds while typing on a touchscreen keyboard/keypad.

On the host PC can the beep come through piezoelectric/beep speaker (but rather unlikely these days to have a beep speaker in a PC)? You mentioned the beep goes via phono-jacks so I assume that means through the soundcard.

If it is with the beep speaker, there is not much that can be done as starting with version 12, the beep speaker in VM is no longer supported.

As t goes through the soundcard, have you tried reinstalling the ELO driver inside the VM?

Tried installing the ELO driver in the VM - but there is still no sound in the plugged-in headphones...

Not a big deal - nobody can hear the beep in the location, where the Touchscreen will be used.
