Hi,
One of my colleagues reported the following:
"On macOS Big Sur, the installer window is completely transparent. Only the shadow around the window can be seen.
As a result no progress is visible.
The installation happens without any issue but the actual window is completely transparent.
I tried to grab a screenshot but not even that is possible.
The shadow around the window doesn't register at all."
The exact same installer works fine in Catalina and older versions of macOS, and we've never experienced this kind of display issue.
This begs the question: when will InstallBuilder add support for Big Sur?
Thanks,
Joey
Hi Joey,
We are working on adding support for Big Sur and we will make sure it's supported the moment it's officially released.

Hi Michiel,
OK, thanks for the reply.

Hi,
I have good news:
With no changes on our part to try to get around the issue, the display bug disappeared on Big Sur Version 11.0 Beta (20A5374i) when tested with InstallBuilder 19.11.0 based installers. That means Apple fixed the regression in the OS itself, this problem is now a non-issue for the InstallBuilder team.
Cheers,
Joey
Hi Joey,
We're glad to hear the issue is solved.

Michiel
