My VMware error: Unable to Complete Your Request

Hello. I signed up for the VMware website. I signed up and had to activate my account via a message received from vmware. When I tried to activate the account and logged in, the following error appears. I do not know how to solve it.

PS. I am not able to log in to VMware and therefore can not use  technical vmware support . If I put a topic in the wrong section then I'm sorry.

Hi maciej12203,

Can you please let me know what email you are using when you receive that error? If you are not comfortable sharing the email publicly, please email me at katieb@vmware.com.

Thanks,

Katie

After conferring with the MyVMware team, I confirmed this is not on the communities side. If anyone else runs into this issue, please contact VMware Customer Support at:  +1-877-486-9273

We are running Vmware software and I get the same issue.

Problem states that they are working on the solution, yet has been the same for at least 6 weeks.

All I want is to evaluate 6.5 (we are on 5.5). I cant even download the free software. Not good.

ETA

If I click 'Get Support' it says 'Unable to complete request'. This is ridiculous.

I cannot put a support ticket in due to the problem I wish to report.

I notice the forum account is using a different email address to my profile account (I have asked VMWARE to change these - maybe they messed something up !!!)

Only solution I can think of is to create a new email account, but this would not hold my license information.

It's funny, so difficult to download just free software from vmware and this problem exists since 2017, there is no real solution until now from this big famous company, cant believe it! How can we trust this company, they cannot fix "a small thing" like this,,

Has there been any resolution to this issue? I am having the same problem. It's strange, I can log into My Workspace using "my vmware" credentials, but not into "my vmware" directly. I get the activation email and click "activation" over and over, but get unable to complete the request. It is very annoying.

Still not working and you can't contact support because you need an active account for that to work.

Okay - so I'll just log out of my inactive account and create a new one right?

There is no logout, because, guess what - account is inactive and logged in - genius.

I know this is an old thread but I just want to say that here we are in September 2020 and the problem still exists. I have an activated MyVMware account, I can login, but I can not download ESXI 7.0 or Fusion Player, nor can I contact support, because I always get the dreaded error:

Unable to Complete Your Request

This is with Safari 13 and Safari 14 as well as Chrome 85 with no extensions.

I don't know what else to do as I can't contact support without an account, and when logged in I can't contact support because of the above error.

Like others I created another account, same issue.

What support entitlement do you have? Have you tried contacting any known contacts at VMware or at a VMware partner?
