No option to add Hard Drive (SATA) when editing new macOS VM (first time using virtual machines)

I'm trying to get a macOS VM started so i can run some mac-specific apps for secondary school, but when editing the hardware it doesn't start with any hard disk option and I can't add one like the guide I've been following is saying to. https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/macos-windows-10-virtual-machine/ (about 2/3 down or so)

Moderator: Installing MacOS on anything other than Apple Hardware is a violation of the Apple EULA, and installing the hack to Workstation to make it work violates the VMware EULA, therefore this topic cannot be discussed on VMTN.
