Why vmware tools install option is getting disable when selecting Guest OS version type as Cent OS 8 in Esxi server 6.7 and 7.0?

We have created one VM by choosing Guest OS Version Type as CentOs 8(64-bit). And we were unable to Install & Uninstall VMware tools because "install VMware Tools" option is in Disabled state in both ESXI 6.7 & 7.0.

But, if we create VM by choosing Guest OS Version Type as CentOs 7 then we are able to Install & Uninstall VMware tools.

I think it is not a helpful answer. How can we decide customers requirement? As per his requirement he will choose whether he install VMware tools or Open vm tools.

If we create vm with Guest Os version as "CentOS 7" then "install vmware tools" option will be in enable state. but for GuestOs version CentOS 8 the option(install vmware tools") is in disable state.

Can you help me by telling how to enable "Install vmware tools" option? I need this help only...

With Workstation Pro/Player (on Windows and Linux hosts) and Fusion on macOS, the "Install VMware Tools" is disabled/greyed out when there is no virtual DVD/CDROM device in the VM configuration. To have it enabled is to add a virtual DVD/CDROM (even if there is no ISO file or physical drive associated to the virtual DVD/CDROM) to the VM configuration.

This might be the case as well with VMRC and similar workaround might be just what is needed.
