2V0-21.19 (VCP 6.7 exam) retiring end of the year?

Not seen an official announcement on the VMware Education blog yet but when looking at the certification track for those people who are studying for their VCP-DCV and have taken a 6.7 version of a qualifying course already, VMware are stating that the 2V0-21.19 exam will be retiring on 31st December 2020.

After this date, students will need to attend a 7.0 version of one of the qualifying courses in order to meet the requirements for VCP-DCV.

Can you confirm scott28tt ?

Remember that all VCPs are linked to the year in which requirements are completed, so the current DCV VCP is VCP-DCV 2020.

VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2020 (VCP-DCV 2020)

At this moment you can complete a 6.7 or 7.0 course, there are Professional exams for 6.7 and 7.0, but only a Foundations exam for 6.7 as that concept of having a Foundations exam is not carried through for 7.0.

Retirements are published here: https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/certification/vmw-retired-certific...

I think it is a reasonable assumption that VCP-DCV 2021 will be focused on 7.0, it will only get harder to find an official 6.7 course.
