When I tried to use vmware-vdiskmanager to convert my virtual disk from pre-allocated to growable, I encountered the following problem:
When I entered this command
vmware-vdiskmanager -r "source.vmdk" -t 0 "dest.vmdk"
where I'm sure I entered the correct "source.vmdk" and "dest.vmdk", it returned an error which said
VixDiskLib: Failed to initialize PhoneHome library.
I notice that many other users also encountered this problem, but I didn't find any solution to it. I installed VMWare 15.6 version correctly, so what are the possible reasons for this problem? How can I solve it?
