Unable to Update AppStack

Hello together,

we are using VMware Horizon 7.12 and DEM 7.11 with AppVolumes Version 4.1.0.57 in our test enviroment.

Creating a package works very good. But when I want to update a existing package the provisioning machine doesn't show the provisioning pop up.

Has somebody else this problem and knows a fix?

I would be pleased if someone have a solution for this bug.

Kind Regards,

Johnny

Did you revert the packaging machine to a snapshot after creating the initial package?

Yes, I revert to the snapshot after every packaging progress.

When you login to the packaging machine, and the packaging popup is not displayed, is the VMDK attached to the VM in diskmgmt.msc? Any errors in the agent log?

Thank you again for your support.

The virtual disk is attached in the diskmanagement yes! But how can I stop the provisioning process without the pop up?

Johnny

Thanks for confirming the disk is attaching. Can you post the agent log from the packaging VM? It might report an error that will help determine why packaging won't start.

Hmmm, there are a few errors in the logs. Is the user account you're using to login to the packaging VM a local administrator or a standard user? Because you're trying to install/capture software, the account needs local admin permissions.

Did you apply a valid certificate to the App Volumes Manager? If not, and you're still using the self-signed cert that comes with the installer, be sure to disable cert validation on the App Volumes agent.

I'm using a domain account, which has local administrator rights on this VM.

Furthermore there is a valid certificate at the App Volumes Manager. We also use LDAPs.

Thanks again for your help.
