I've been working with a fedora VM (on a 15in MacBookPro) since 2015 on VmWare Fusion 7 without any problems.
Retina support was working for me just fine.
Recently I made a VM backup on an external hard disk.
Tried to load the external copy into Fusion. Everything went fine except from the retina support.
There is no way I can enable retina support. Have tried the relevant options in display settings, no luck.
The display resolutions that are available to me in Fedora indicate clearly that retina is not supported.
Anyone else encountered something similar?
