Hello All,
I am working for a consulting firm where I need to log in to a customer's virtual desktop using VMWare Horizon client. I have the client installed in my firm-provided desktop and my personal laptop. There is no company VPN installed in either of these devices and I am connecting to the virtual desktop from open internet using the customer-provided credentials and OTP. I was wondering if there is a way for the Horizon client administrator at the customer's systems to distinguish between sessions initiated from my firm-provided desktop and my personal laptop. Thank You!

For Horizon, they both are "external" connections. The only thing that the Horizon admin can retrieve is your computername and your local IP and WAN IP.
So only the computername or local IP could be used to distinguish the sessions.

Mickeybyte Thanks for the update Michiel. I can see a 'Horizon Performance logs' application in the virtual desktop. That application shows the MAC ID and guest OS along with the other attributes that you listed. Are the MAC ID and OS details available to the administrator as well?
Thanks
Arjun
I'm guessing you meant "Horizon Performance tracker"? Yes, all details you see there are in one way or another retrievable.
Those details are stored in the registry upon logon to a desktop or application: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment
I don't think all those details are stored, they are only available as long as you are logged on.
Yes. 'Horizon Performance tracker' is what I meant. Thanks for the update!
