VM - after run optimization tool the network connection icon shows warning and says not internet connection. But when you ping 8.8.8.8 external DNS and try connect the internet

from any browser it works. It seems only the icon shows warning. It's windows 10 1809 and I can't upgrade due hardware limitations.

any help appreciated.

What worked for us

Try clearing the reg entries at:

HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator

and set "Network Location Awareness service" is set to auto on the master image
