We need to disable SMBv1 on our VDI servers.
Is there a requirement for SMBv1?
If we disable, are there any other steps that should be take at the same time?
Horizon 7.8
VSphere 6.7
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Also, the VDI clients are all Win 10. The VDI Mgt servers are all 2012 r2.
No, Horizon does not rely on SMBv1. Components like UEM/DEM utilize SMB for storing user’s settings, but will simply rely on the SMB version supported by the OS. SMBv1 is actually now disabled in modern Windows 10 versions by default because of the vulnerabilities associated with it.
