Tool for Capacity Planning

Our company is now planning to move to the VMWARE Virtualized Environment. I have read the articles about the VMWARE Capacity Planner but this is available only from partners.

Is there any third party tool also available which do the same job?

As a customer you should probably be looking at vRealize Operations Manager.

Hi

We are not moving to the cloud rather it will be done in a closed environment. vRealize looks like solution for cloud architecture. Also since it’s a planning phase, I am looking for some free software instead of paid ones.

Thus I need some product which I should run on my existing non-virtualized environment and it should provide some suggestions against this virtualized environment.

OR if there are any document where I can put my expected Server Configuration for VMWARE environment and it gives me some recommendations that what extra hardware i.e. HBA, 10G cards extra will be required?
