Can't find local drive (SSD) as datastore for vSphere7.0

Hi, Team

I've just finished setting up for vSphere7.0, but I can't see local SSD drive in "storage"->"Datastore".  When I upgraded from 6.7 to 7.0, then I could see and use this as "datastore1".  However, I can't see this for fresh installation.  The capacity of local SSD drive is around 128GB.

I really appreciate if you have some clues.

The partition layout have changed for ESXi 7.0. There is something "new" called OSdata  and this will takes all space on your tiny boot drive.

Take a look to https://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2020/05/changing-the-default-size-of-the-esx-osdata-volume-in-esxi-7...

Hi, Joerg

Thank you so much for your quick response!  So you think that boot device (SSD in this case) can't be shown in datastore because of "OSdata".

I'm double checking with site owner which you have mentioned, but I've not gotten any feedback yet.

Well, I could use local SSD with vSphere 6.7 and I just downloaded OS ISO images or something like that.  I really don't understand why VMware company has changed the structure....
