What's the easiest way to tell if my hardware is compatible with a specific version of esxi?

I have 3 clusters of 6 hosts each; each cluster has slightly different hardware (but the hardware in each cluster is the same).

Is there an easy way to tell if I can upgrade an entire cluster to, say, the latest v7.0 build of esxi?

Would be nice if I could also get a report of which components I'd need to replace (or update).

Here's the online checker: VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

Right; but that's super time-consuming, and I always seem to miss something critical.

Is there no "what-if" type report for hosts in vSphere? Maybe I can create an update baseline and check a host against it. I'll give that a try.
