On the other hand, Jase wrote a great document named PowerCLI Cookbook For VSAN
In Appendix A of that document he listed PowerCLI based alternatives for several of the RVC commands.
Unfortunately, whatif_host_failures is not in there.
And the code for that command is rather complex.
