I can no longer access the 5.5.0 U3 UI to restart VMs. Most command result in "Connection failure after root CA installation". Any thoughts out there?
Installed root CA direct tovSphere UI - no vCenter.
Thank you
To clarify - after reading too many posts, the issue is " Failed to login: Connection refused "
Installed root CA direct to vSphere UI ...
Can you please clarify this? Are you talking about a new certificate when you say "root CA"?
Please explain - as detailed as possible - how the certificate has been created, and how you installed it.

The root CA is from the Avaya System Manager which is being used for the system CA. It is default and, is working well with the other entities within the system.
It was copied and pasted into the UI : Manage > Security and Users > Import New Certificate
Then rebooted - many times.
Since my post, and I doubt this "fixed" it other than the additional reboot, but I accessed via putty the DCUI, checked some settings (no changes) and then rebooted using the DCUI. Everything is back to normal and the certificate is no longer there.
We have the licenses to upgrade to 7.0 but have to wait for approval to travel to site since it cannot be upgraded remotely.
System has returned to normal service.
If there's anything to check log wise, I'd be happy to investigate further.
Thank you
Glad to read that it's working again.
However, I still don't understand why you'd want to import an Avaya root certificate to the ESXi host!? In order to access the ESXi host using a signed certificate, you'd create a signed certificate for the ESXi host.
