Agentless Anti-Malware deploy

On vsphere 7.0, I wish to use a an Agentless Anti-Malware, integrated via vshield endpoint (is it still the corretct name of that product?).

To deploy a Guest Introspection services for Agentless Anti-Malware, the hosts must be prepared for NSX

My question is:

to prepare the host have I to deploy an NSX manager cluster or ther's a way to do all the job without having an NSX manager?

That's not going to work with vSphere 7. NSX-v does not support vSphere 7, and vShield is dead, which doesn't support vSphere 7. And even if it did, yes, you'd still have to deploy NSX Manager to get that functionality plus more.
