I ran the tool on a Win10 VM and elected to Remove Photos. Problem I'm having now is I need to program back. I have tried the Rollback feature but that doesn't restore the program.
Is there a way to do this or do I need to start over with a new parent image? I don't have a snapshot taken before I ran the tool and having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to just reinstall Photos 😕
Hi nary4484 ,
Run "Activate Windows Photo Viewer on Windows 10.reg" in your golden base image.
And if you want to set the windows photo viewer as default run - "set windows photo viewer as default.reg" in you golden base image or with UEM.
Hope I helped...
I know the feeling! Try this!
The main issue is to reinstall the photo apps with a command line!
Please try the following PowerShell command line:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_15.1208.10480.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"}
