Was ask to upgrade to new version, downloaded and now VMWare indicates will not run on 10.13.6. You would think it would only download if version was correct. How do I fix without upgrading OS.
Got original 11.0 loaded and loaded upgrades until I got to 11.5. When I tried to upload it would only allow 11.5.5 not 11.5 which does not work on my current os.
Tried open source but could not figure out how to load.
Why on earth remove support for Mac OS High Sierra? Big bummer.
Sure hope support for OSHS will be restored in a future update. Please consider, VMWare!
Same (removed by moderator) here!
Downloaded and installed Fusion 11.5.3:
It worked for me: back on 11.5.3
That appears to be a bug in 11.5.5, since High Sierra is still listed as a compatible host OS.
Fusion 11.5.3 supports macOS High Sierra and can be downloaded from here.
Actually it's not - 11.5.5 now shows Mojave as the minimum version.
FWIW, High Sierra won't be supported by Apple when 10.16 drops this fall, so upgrading in the next few months is a good idea in any case.
The front page for Fusion 11.5 says macOS 10.13 is supported. But when I attempt to install Fusion 11.5.5 it fails, stating that I need a minimum of macOS 10.14. macOS 10.13 is still currently supported by Apple. So, surely this is false advertising from VMware?
