Hello
We connect form Win10 machines at home with Horizon ViewClient to Win10-machines in out Company.
Form there we connect via RDP to our personal workplaces to work with out usual applications.
The problem is now, that the multimedia keys (Play/pause..) on the keyboard are not passed through to RDP session to control audio-applications, but they work correctly for audio-applicaitons within the HorizonView Client.
Any ideas or further info needed?
Regards
Marco
Seems like you are connecting to nested session. Inside first session, do you use horizon client to connect to next session Or use MS RDP? If you are using horizon client to connect to second session, can you switch the protocol to pcoip/blast and see if it makes any difference?
Please check horizon limitation and supported scenarios for nested sessions:
Features Supported in Nested Mode
Other than that, please create below registry value on client machine and check if it helps. This setting lets you send key combinations to the remote machine:
Registry Hive HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Registry Path Software\Policies\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client\RDP Settings
Value Name KeyboardHookMode
Value Type REG_DWORD
Value 1
Hello
thanks for your quick response.
For thre first hop we are using Horizon Client, the second hop is done by normal MS RDP.
Unfortunately the mentioned REG-Key does not exist below Policies-Key.
I may try creating them ....
Thanks in advance
Marco
Yes. Please create and test.
