Restore snapshot of vCenter appliance

We are doing some work on our vCenter to clear out the vpx_text_array of orphan entries. Our vpx_text_array is about 8GB. We are in linked mode with other vCenters and External PSCs.

Do we need to snapshot all the appliances? Or just the one we will work on? We plan on doing the poweredON method outlined here.

Additionally if we have to restore the snapshot on the vCenter, do we need to restore the PSC as well or any other vCenter since in linked mode?

Thank you. Its sounds like if we mess up a VCSA doing the table cleanup, we simply need to revert the snap or restore a VAMI. We will need to do anything with the PSCs.

Make sure you create the snapshot of the VCSA VM while it is powered down. Don't snapshot it while it's running! There are several databases running in there who will likely have "application inconsistency" problems when restored from Snapshot.

This applies to all systems running a database of some sort, unless that database is supported with Microsoft VSS (like AD, Exchange, SQL and some non-microsoft DB's)
