SVGA Tool fixes lag but causes game to go pink.

I recently installed windows 10 64 bit on my VMware and installed steam to play Rec Room on, when I first started the audio was perfectly fine, the game looked normal but the mouse and in-game movement was very slow. I installed the vmware tool and it solved the issue but everything in-game turned pink. It's the SVGA Driver that's causing it. Any help on how to fix this is appreciated, thanks! (SVGA fixes lag in game but makes everything pink)

Can you try 20H2 Tech Preview (Workstation Tech Preview ) and see if it fixes your problem. Attach logs if you still see the issue.

When I had this problem, the menu and UI would be laggy, game looked normal but laggy, the SVGA fixed it but added pink, with this, the menu and UI isn't laggy with the mouse but when I get in game with it, everything looks fine but it's very slow and crashes. Although I only had 5 minutes to experiment with it, I'll try again when I get home later and let you know how it goes!

I enabled Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI in the Processors setting and disabled debugging and it worked like a charm. Thank you!

This is a very interesting finding... I was just reading past week about the Processor Settings and several people said that it's best to leave them alone. I have found no definite guide regarding when to use and when to avoid the options, just the descriptions in the VMware docs: Configuring Virtual Machine Processor Settings

For example, several posts imply that enabling Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT is useful only when sharing virtual machines... It's interesting to know that this setting may affect graphics performance too.

Sorry, the "only when sharing virtual machines" i said above is wrong  - the correct is "when you need nested virtualization" - see Virtualization Engine in VM Settings

In all honesty the disabling of the debugging could have been what fixed it, I just enabled that on top of it.
