Hi there. I am new in using VMware.
I was trying to install Windows Technical Preview, so I need to change the system date to September 30th, 2014.
Even though I choose Save settings and exit, the settings are reset to the host's system date every time the guest reboots.
Any solution?
Thanks
P.S.: .nvram file IS NOT read-only.
try this one
To prevent a VM from getting the start time resetted every time you start the VM you need several additional vmx-parameters.
Just setting it in the virtual BIOS is not enough.
Attach your vmx-file so that we can check if your vmx has all additional entries
Thanks for the answer!
Can you help me, since I am a beginner?
Thanks. Before marking your answer as the correct one, could you explain (on skype, if you want to) what can I do?
?
replace your original one with the one I uploaded.
Then try if you can now set the start time.
You may need more vmx-parameters than the ones I added.
I sent you a message on Skype @ the mentioned username in your profile. I will mark your answers as the correct one.
